A change of Dress for the 33rd!

After realizing I did not have enough round hats for my southern army, I Replaced the 33rd's with cocked hats. I have also finished the next layer of highlights, all that needs doing to them now is maybe a touch up on the flag and bases. But considering how much I have to paint I dont known when I will get round to this.

6mm Seven Years War British

Here we have the beginnings of my 6mm British SYW army, the miniatures are by Baccus and have some great detail in them, I have a ton of miniatures left to paint for these guys. so expect to see more...at some point.

British LIghts AWI

I did not have a specific regiment in mind when painting these guys but will use them as a generic skirmish formation for the Brits. These minis are some what of a kit bash as with most my AWI plastics, using both the British and american boxes from Perry's.

The Village People

Just a quick little update, touched up some civilians for my AWI games

AWI 33rd regiment of foot - American Independence

Although not finished the 33rd are well on their way, I will probably go on to painting another regiment before finishing the muskets and final highlights. This regiment is painted as they would of looked in the southern campaign under Cornwallis, or as close to. I added a tab bit of creative freedom when it came to the drummer as I found he was way too white so added some red between the lace.

The mounted officer is not of the 33rd as indicated by his blue facings, I am aiming to build the entire southern army that was present at the battle of Camden. I have all the figures needed minus the 71st and some guns, So expect to see alot of AWI appearing on this blog. Please let me know what you think, I appreciate constructive criticisms...Now to buy more red paint!
